A Dog and His Duck

Image
Everyone knows I love birds. I was even fascinated by a drone one morning. So naturally when I go on a walk I have to carry my toy duck...I won’t leave till I have it. It is beginning to get hot though. So on occasion I will drop my duck on the ground. That’s the signal for my human, Guy, to pick up the slobbery thing and put it on my harness.

Back to a Flood

Image
After spending a few weeks with my other humans down in Tennessee, I have returned to Annapolis. I was ok on the trip back but I think I am more nervous in the front seat. We got back in between rain showers. But this morning we woke up to a lot of water out front. My paws and Guy’s shoes were totally soaked going and coming to the area we walk. I guess I have settled back in because after the walk, my treat, water, and a morning snack, I went back to sleep on the bed.

I am a Big Baby

Image
By saying I am a big baby, I really mean I am a big scaredy cat. Let’s see...wave washing against Dock, wind blowing piece of trash right at me, my own shadow, and this one particular boat down at the Dock...oh and the street sweeper (it’s evil) are some of the things that scare me. It is finally turning toward spring and my human, Guy (see pic below...it’s a better pic of me) are able to take longer walks. He says I am doing really good with commands and interacting with other dogs and people.

St. Patrick’s Day Festivities in Annapolis

Image
Today, a week early, Annapolis celebrated St. Patrick’s Day. There were an estimated 7000 in attendance, so you can just imagine all the new dogs hanging out with their humans. My human, Guy, said I did a really good job maneuvering through all the people. Later we went down to where a Celtic band was playing on the Dock. The crowd was a little too much for me. I would have posted videos but I can’t get them to play in a post. So here is a pic of me listening to the Celtic band.

Spa Day

Image
Today I got to go for a doggy spa day. It included 3 secessions playing with other dogs and a bath.

Treats

Image
When I come back in from a walk I know that most likely I will get a treat. If I poo I definitely do. I also know to sit. Since I don’t like the kitchen floor I sit at the kitchen entrance for my treat and generally stay seated while eating my treat. Yesterday when I went to meet my new vet, the workers gave me so many treats I only ate half my bowl of food.

Nervous or Not

Image
So I usually get nervous in the car to the point that I don’t stick my nose out when the window is down. And I am a big scaredy cat. For instance when my human took me for a walk last night I almost jumped head first into a fire hydrant when the wind blew a piece of trash straight towards me. Oh, and the trash truck and street sweeper, don’t even get me started. But, yesterday after the rain cleared out and the sun was shining, my human took me back to the park. After chasing a ball a few times and sniffing more butts than I can remember, he put my car window down. And all the way back my ears were flapping in the breeze. I even got a hamburger from McDonalds. I was wore out last night.
